MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Perfect image adds tanning beds, new services: Mary Jane Watson has added quite a bit to A Perfect Image Hair Design in her first year. Tanning Beds have been installed and two new professionals extend the business's services.  Dawn McClean is an esthetician (no I didn't know what it meant either). She offers skin services such as facials and peels; and nail specialist Annette Wagoner provides  manicures and pedicures. I know it's felt like spring all winter, but you are going to be planning trips to the beach and tanned skin, beautiful nails and skin are all part of the package as well as letting Mary Jane give you a special summer cut. Call 336-372-2499, or drop by 265 South Main Street, the gray building across from First Baptist Church.

LUNCH AND A TAX CHECK: H&R Block in Sparta is making an offer that is hard to resist. Saturday,  St. Patrick's Day; they are celebrating the green with free hot dogs and drinks, free checks of your tax refunds to make sure you've not missed any deductions, and a $100 drawing for those who participated in the check! Did I mention DJ Andy Wright will be playing some of your favorite tunes. Is that a deal or not? Saturday, March 17, 10a-3p at 323 N Main Street. 336-372-4197

IS THERE A JOB YOU WANT, BUT LACK TRAINING: JobLink's OJT Program may be the answer. JobLink can help pay you a salary while you receive on-the-job training. When you're trained (and who better to train you than the folks you are going to work for), you are hired. Interested? Check this link or call 336-372-9675.
Merchants: The J.O Volleyball Tournaments continue through the last Saturday in March. It's not too late to put a Welcome sign in your window. I've squeezed our banner onto a standard sheet of typing paper. It's available at sparta-nc.com/banner.pdf. Please consider printing it out and posting it on your business.

We had several calamities that delayed completion of this year's issue, but it is finished. Thanks for the Chamber members who advertised with us, even in these trying economic times: You made it possible. You will be receiving a copy in the mail with our next newsletter. But no one has to wait, we've already posted it online. Let me know if you think it paints a good picture of our community. Just click to see this issue online.
