A Dulcimer Workshop at the Alleghany County Library is taught by Jeff Sebens and sponsored by Arts Council Saturday, March 20, 10-11:30a for absolute beginners; 1-2:30p for somewhat experienced participants or those continuing from the morning session. The annual Womanless Beauty Pageant to support Alleghany's Relay for Life will be held in the Sparta School Auditorium, 450 North Main Street, Saturday, March 27. Alleghany Quilters Guild is going all out to celebrate March as national quilt month. There will be month-long quilt displays at the Alleghany Library and in the Blue Ridge Business Development Center atrium. >> Driving Loops: Brochures for three driving loops of the Alleghany countryside are available at the Alleghany Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Center.
