CANOE CAMP: RIVER FUN AND EDUCATION

FIBER GUILD DISPLAY AT THE LIBRARY
The handiwork of talented women is on display the month of May at the Alleghany Library. Join fiber artist Karen Simpson and learn how to make felt and make your own necklace. NATURE HIKE ALONG THE RIVER
Come to New River State Park Saturday, May 15, at 2p and join a ranger at the Wagoner Road Access (off NC 88) and learn what early wildflowers are in bloom. We will hike about a one-mile trail. 336-982-2587

ACTING UP IN THE DOLLAR
The Alleghany Community Theatre's annual variety show is Saturday, May 15, at the Silver Dollar Music Park. Entertainment includes comedy skits, music and a first for the show, magic! MISSION MEAL RESCHEDULED
You are invited to the 11a worship service Sunday, May 16, and stay for the mission meal at Sparta United Methodist Church at 12n. TRACKING SALAMANDERS
Meet at the Wagoner Road Access (off NC 88) at the New River State Park Sunday, May 16, at 2p for a discussion on the different salamanders we have in this area and how they differ from lizards.
