Chamber Mail Bag material

Although the 150th Anniversary celebration is winding down, it's not too late to get some of the memorabilia from the past year and they make great Christmas gifts -- T-shirts, cds, photo albums, just to name a few. There are puzzles suitable for any age. VACATION RENTAL and B&B owners, the puzzles are a great item to have for your guests. What better way to remind them of the community where they had a great vacation. Tennessee Green at the dollar
For your listening and dancing pleasure, Tennessee Green will be at the Silver Dollar Music Park Saturday, Nov. 7, and begin playing at 7:30p. Come early and enjoy dinner at the Silver Spoon Supper Club. Details on their website.


Mission Meal at Sparta Methodist
Sparta United Methodist Church invites the public to attend their 11a worship service Sunday, Nov. 8, and stay after the service for their Second Sunday Mission Meal in the Fellowship Hall. There is no charge for meal but donations are appreciated and go to the Ministerium (ministerial association) Relief Fund. 336-372-4441

Laurel Ridge holds last Sunday Supper of 2009
Enjoy the last Second Sunday Supper for 2009 at Laurel Ridge Moravian Camp in Laurel Springs Sunday, Nov. 8. The menu includes barbecue or baked eggplant, slaw, baked beans, corn on the cob, and rolls. Connie Wollard entertains on the dulcimer. Meals are $10 per person and begin at 5p. Library offers Christmas drama
“Christmas Letters” a drama by Barbara Bates Smith with musical accompaniment by Jeff Sebens, will be presented at the Alleghany Library, Monday, Nov. 16, at 6:30p. There is not charge to attend.
