MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: COWBOY AUSTIN AT
TRIPLE E STABLES/ALLEGHANY TRAIL BLAZERS
WXII's Austin Caviness donned a Stetson and visited Alleghany's own Triple E Stables recently. (Click here to see the video.) Triple E is more than riding lessons, trail rides and horse boarding, they are also Alleghany Trail Blazers which provide the therapeutic benefits of riding to the disabled. LOG HOME RAISING POSTPONED
Pete Pyles of Country Comfort Log Homes called to say the log raising on Sally Road slated for May 10 (Sally Road is off Chestnut Grove Church Road between NC 18 north and the entrance to Pioneer-Eclipse) has been postponed because of shipping delays of the logs. HELP A KID WITH LUNCH
The Alleghany Ministerium (ministerial association) is raising money to buy breakfast and lunch for 250 children between the ages of 2 and 13 who would likely go hungry during the month of July. ACTING UP IN THE DOLLAR
The Alleghany Community Theatre's annual variety show is Saturday, May 15, at the Silver Dollar Music Park. Entertainment includes comedy skits, music and a first for the show, magic! The show begins at 7p. Admission to the show only is $10 at the door. MISSION MEAL RESCHEDULED

Our foyer is always open and a brochure is always available.
>> Driving Loops: Brochures for three driving loops of the Alleghany countryside are available at the Alleghany Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Center. Each loop is a about a leisurely hour's drive and includes information on historic points along the way. The Chamber office is in the rock building with the green awning (58 South Main St., Sparta). Our foyer is always open and a brochure is always available.
