VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR PARKWAY ANNIVERSARY
The Chamber is seeking volunteers who would be willing to man Alleghany County's display at the Blue Ridge Parkway 75th Anniversary Celebration Sept. 10, 11 and 12. The display will be at the Blue Ridge Music Center. Volunteers need to be familiar with the county and are asked to commit to a 2-hour shift.
This is a great way for you to show your pride in Alleghany County.

Pam Hall, Alleghany Schools' Gear Up coordinator, is look for organizations that would permit her to bring in classes of the Freshmen enrolled in High School 101 for a visit to learn more about the community. She's looking for organizations and businesses that can illustrate to these students how to serve the community and give back something to our county. Drop by the Alleghany Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Center for a brochure. We are in the rock building with the green awning (58 South Main St., Sparta). Our foyer is always open and a brochure is always available.
>> Driving Loops: Brochures for three driving loops of the Alleghany countryside are available at the Alleghany Chamber of Commerce and Visitors' Center. Each loop is a about a leisurely hour's drive and includes information on historic points along the way. The Chamber office is in the rock building with the green awning (58 South Main St., Sparta). Our foyer is always open and a brochure is always available.
